Data Analytics Analyst
Responsibilities
- The Division of TXST Global at Texas State University seeks an experienced data analytics analyst to provide analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and serve as a critical resource for the TXST Global divisional strategy and help ensure operational excellence
- The Data Analytics Analyst for TXST Global is primarily responsible for transforming data into strategic insights to support divisional decision-making
- This role is specifically charged with creating reports based on detailed data mining, analysis, and visualization
- This work involves conducting advanced statistical analysis and modeling to uncover operational trends as well as areas for improvement, which will be conducted alongside the development, implementation, and maintenance of the analytical infrastructure (including dynamic Business Intelligence dashboards)
- The analyst must proactively identify opportunities, formulating strategic recommendations based on rigorous trend analysis and benchmarking
- Furthermore, the role necessitates strong communication and relationship-building skills to work directly with end-users to gather business requirements, provide status updates, and successfully convey complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders, as well as perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal), with the ability to convey complex data findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
- Exceptional Research and Analytical Skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex data sets
- Experience Developing Data Visualizations, Dashboards, and standard reporting utilizing business tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- To execute these duties, the position requires knowledge of program development, database and model design, statistical analysis, web-based programs, and standard office procedures
- In accordance with federal law, all new employees must complete the Form I-9 and provide acceptable documentation verifying their identity and authorization to work in the United States
- Employees are required to maintain valid work authorization to satisfy the conditions of Form I-9 at all times during their employment and the university makes no implicit or explicit promises to financially support visa or permanent residency applications
