Data Quality Analyst
Responsibilities

- The Analytics – Data Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data within key source systems across the enterprise
- This role is critical for maintaining the integrity of survey and reporting data, enforcing data quality standards, strict data governance, and ensuring compliance with both regulatory and non-regulatory requirements
- The ideal candidates possess deep knowledge of data quality principles, healthcare, clinical and health plan data, and associated business rules, ensuring that data inputs and outputs meet all specified criteria
- Work cross-functionally with survey programming, sampling, operations, engineering and analytics to ensure end-to-end data quality and accuracy
- Serve as the SME on data quality standards and business rules for healthcare and health plan data to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant data handling
- Develop and enforce data quality protocols, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data entering and exiting various source systems meet required specifications
- Monitor data flows, perform data validation, and ensure data transformations are accurate, detecting and resolving issues in real-time to maintain data integrity
- Design and implement automated data quality checks and validations to ensure compliance with regulatory and business requirements
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and compliance teams to address data quality issues, resolve discrepancies, and continuously improve data quality processes
- Maintain and update documentation on data rules, business logic, and quality control procedures, ensuring clear guidelines are available for both technical and business users
- Act as a liaison with regulatory teams to ensure that data management practices align with evolving regulatory standards and non-regulatory specifications
Skills
- Proven experience (5+ years) in data quality management, data governance, or data analysis, with a deep understanding of data quality processes and tools
- Strong knowledge of healthcare, clinical and/or health plan data structures, business rules, and compliance requirements within regulatory and operational contexts
- Proficiency in SQL and data quality tools (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, Talend, Collibra) for data validation, profiling, and monitoring
- Understanding of data architecture and ETL processes, with experience validating data across different stages of data pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially regarding data accuracy and consistency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document data rules, quality protocols, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) relevant to data quality and compliance
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and data warehousing
