Data Analyst

The Analytics team at WorkCare provides data solutions for internal partners and directly to clients. This role of Data Analyst is responsible for reporting, data analysis and data design. Our Analytics team's mission is to enable our growing business through data and insights. This role uses data to solve complex problems in creative and innovative ways.

Responsibilities

  • Cleanse, merge, and process data required to generate dashboards and reports for clinical quality, operational, and financial purposes
  • Demonstrate desire to master various data domains and expertise around weaving them together to answer key questions from clinical, operational and financial stakeholders
  • Gain a deep understanding of our data, how it applies to the broader organization and use this to level-up our solutions
  • Research, recommend and deliver technology capabilities and data models which produce high quality datasets.
  • Help continually improve our tooling and processes by seeking opportunities for automation and simplification.
  • Deliver analysis that distills clear, meaningful insights from large, complex datasets.
  • Diagnose and solve platform and data issues - perform root cause analysis and apply solutions to prevent re-occurrence
  • Bonus: Build cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud workloads that are highly scalable, resilient data pipelines
  • Performs additional duties and assumes additional responsibilities as identified by manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience building highly scalable data reporting and visualizations utilizing SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Snowflake, PowerBI or other visualization software
  • 3+ years of SQL (intermediate skill level), Python, and shell scripting experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cloud Data Warehousing / Data Lake technologies and architectures such as Snowflake, Redshift, Lake Formation
  • Experience with data modelling - demonstrable experience in reverse engineering models and designing models for reporting and analytics use-cases
  • Prior experience utilizing dashboarding tools such as Power BI, QuickSight, Tableau, or similar
  • Background in software engineering - able to write elegant, scalable, and maintainable code
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language and relational databases such as, but not limited to, MySQL, SQL Server or Snowflake
  • Must have expertise with a variety of off-the-shelf software for office productivity such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe programs
  • Must be able to learn other software as needed
  • To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, accurately, and safely

Work Environment

  • Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk
  • Some bending and stretching could be required
  • Working under stress and use of computer/phone required
  • Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard
  • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
  • Mainly indoor, office environment conditions
  • The noise level is usually moderate
  • Air quality is good and temperature is controlled

This position has a salary range of $95,000 - $100,000 annually. Final compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
