Data Analyst (SQL/Python)

Responsibilities:

• Downloading and adding data into a global database
• Data validation and correction using in-house applications, Python, Excel, and SQL Server Management Studio
• Investigation of new patent data sources
• Dealing with helpdesk support queries
• Working with the development team regarding data extraction and application troubleshooting
• Specification writing of new in-house applications
• User Acceptance Testing of new in-house applications
• Ensuring data quality with emphasis on attention to detail
• Ensuring all data feeds are completed on time
• Data source ownership and process reviews in order to improve speed, accuracy, and automation opportunities

Skills:

• Good communication, detail-oriented, methodical, and numerate
• Experience of querying databases using SQL Server
• Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
