Guidewire Data Analyst

Responsibilities

Analyze large datasets related to policy administration, underwriting, billing, renewals, and customer data.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
Design and build interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar BI tools (Power BI, Qlik, etc.).
Work closely with business stakeholders (Underwriting, Finance, Operations) to gather reporting requirements.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and ensure data quality.
Identify trends, KPIs, and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Support regulatory and management reporting requirements.
Collaborate with data engineering teams for data pipeline and model improvements.
Document data definitions, business logic, and reporting standards.

8+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in the Insurance domain (Non-Claims focus).
Strong hands-on experience with SQL (advanced queries, joins, subqueries, CTEs, performance tuning).
Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools (Power BI, QlikView, Looker).
Strong understanding of insurance policy lifecycle and non-claims processes.
Experience working with large relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
