Database Developer/Engineer (Oracle/MySQL)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience with MySQL and Oracle databases in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in:
  • Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
  • MySQL SQL, stored procedures, indexing
• Proven experience in database performance tuning and optimization
• Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and relational database design
• Experience with backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability solutions
• Hands-on experience supporting production databases with defined SLAs
• Good understanding of Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Aurora, Oracle Cloud, Azure DB services)
• Exposure to database migration or replication tools (e.g., GoldenGate)
• Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and automation for database deployments
• Experience in BFSI or large-scale enterprise systems
