Database Analyst - CMMS

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Assistant Director of Asset Management, the Database Analyst of Computerized Maintenance Management System is responsible for assisting overall management of asset data pertaining to Real Estate and Facilities (RE&F).
  • Performs data tasks such as gathering, structuring, analyzing, evaluating, monitoring, and maintaining in accordance with the Facilities’ Data Management requirements.
  • Gathers, structures, analyzes, evaluates, monitors and maintains data relevant to facility assets
  • Updates and maintains data governance standard and asset onboarding documents
  • Establishes dashboard KPIs to measure effectiveness of business decisions
  • Recommends findings or improvement opportunities based on data analysis and data interpretation
  • Creates and configures Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules
  • Follows RE&F Asset Nomenclature Guidelines for asset coding
  • Assists in planning, designing, and configuring of asset system in accordance with business processes
  • Monitors and takes appropriate actions to maintain integrity and consistency of data, including, importing, exporting, updates, deletions and manipulation
  • Ability to create customized reports utilizing third party reporting tools for internal teams and/or external customers
  • Uses graphs, charts, and other methods to visualize and present data
  • Plans, coordinates, implements, and completes special projects
  • Ensures proper and regular timely communications between TCCD departments and supervisors through verbal and written means concerning projects and operational issues

Skills

  • Knowledge of establishing ODBC connections to interact with data sources
  • Skilled with organizing data in a structured format for system import
  • Skilled with diagram and graphic software to develop/create visually impacted business process flows, graphs, charts, and/or presentations
  • Skilled using Adobe Acrobat, Smartsheet, PowerBI, Crystal Reports, Tableau, and Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Teams
  • Skilled programming knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and PHP
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
  • Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours in Database Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and three (3) years of working experience related to the essential performance requirements; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and certification
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System, Fuel Management System
  • At least one (1) year’s working experience providing training programs, composing training documentation and creating user manuals
