Responsibilities
- The Senior Database Administrator for Cardiology at Providence is a pivotal role responsible for safeguarding data as a critical resource and ensuring the seamless integration of data across various cardiovascular source and software modules.
- This position entails the development, maintenance, support, and enforcement of data standards across all cardiovascular (CV) modules and applications.
- The Senior Database Administrator will oversee the ongoing development and management of all CV computerized databases, which includes generating reports for clinical, quality, and administrative management purposes.
- This role is essential in maintaining the integrity and usability of data, which is vital for effective patient care and operational efficiency.
- In addition to technical responsibilities, the Senior Database Administrator will collaborate with clinical teams to understand their data needs and ensure that the database systems are aligned with clinical workflows.
- This includes working closely with healthcare professionals to implement clinical terminology and clinical information systems effectively within the healthcare environment.
Skills
- 5 years of experience in clinical terminology and/or clinical information system implementation in a healthcare environment.
- 3 years of experience working with database structures, data definitions, and data relationships.
