Data Analyst

Responsibilities

  • As a Data Analyst at Heyday Health, you will be responsible for analyzing clinical, claims, and operational data to drive actionable insights that improve patient care and reduce healthcare costs.
  • You will play a critical role in measuring performance, identifying care gaps, supporting risk adjustment strategies, and informing decision-making for clinical and executive leadership.

Data Collection and Management

  • Extract data from EHRs, claims, and patient registries.
  • Clean, validate, and transform raw data into usable formats.
  • Ensure data accessibility and integrity in BI tools.

Reporting and Dashboarding

  • Create daily, weekly, or monthly dashboards and reports for stakeholders (clinical, operational, and financial teams).
  • Track key VBC metrics like readmission rates, quality measures (e.g., HEDIS), cost per patient, and care gaps.
  • Develop and maintain contractual reports.

Analysis and Insights

  • Analyze trends in utilization, cost, and quality.
  • Identify high-risk patients or populations needing intervention (e.g., through risk stratification).
  • Perform cohort analyses to evaluate outcomes for different patient groups.

Collaboration with Stakeholders

  • Work closely with clinicians, care managers, and operation teams to translate data into action.
  • Provide analytical input on program performance in meetings.
  • Train and support individuals in their use of data.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a data analyst in healthcare.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience working with healthcare data sets, such as claims, EMR/EHR data, HCC/Risk Adjustment, or quality metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with value-based care organizations preferred.
  • Adequate knowledge of tools like Python or R for statistical analysis preferred.
