Summer Internship | Data Analytics & AI

Responsibilities

• The program will run from June 2nd to August 8th, 2025
• As a Data Science Intern, you will be part of a centralized Data Science team, collaborating with Data Scientists on high-value project initiatives across various business areas, including Revenue Management, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, and Marine Operations
• This role is research-oriented, and your success will depend on the tangible value you and the Data Science team can add to the organization
• You will be responsible for scripting and programming, mentoring, stakeholder presentations, and executing research experiments that enhance our R&D capabilities
• Interns will collect, analyze, and interpret datasets using machine learning and data mining techniques, visualize data, create analytics reports, and build dashboards to communicate insights to business stakeholders
• You will also develop predictive models for business forecasting and process optimization, formulate and test hypotheses to evaluate business strategies, and build robust data pipelines that integrate data across different business domains
• Additionally, you will apply big-data tools to process massive datasets within a cloud-computing environment, often with little or no documentation or reliance on research articles
• Assist Data Scientists on high-value project initiatives across different business areas
• Collect, analyze, and interpret datasets using machine learning and data mining techniques

Skills

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering or a comparable field
• Read and write code in Python and SQL with 2+ years of experience
• Experience with data mining processes (SEMMA, CRISP-DM) and data preparation techniques
• Experience with statistical methods such as t-tests, ANOVA, and outlier detection
• Experience with modeling techniques including linear models, decision trees, neural networks, and clustering methods
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to work in South Florida offices from June 2nd - August 8th, 2025
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
• Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher and proven leadership skills
