Senior Data Warehouse QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• The Senior Data Warehouse QA Engineer ensures the quality and integrity of the data warehouse and lakehouse platforms.
• This role works as part of an agile team, writes test automation scripts, validates Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes, ensures data quality, and verifies business logic.
• This role collaborates with data engineers, data analysts, data scientists, business partners and other stakeholders to maintain and build trust in the quality of the data we provide in the data warehouse environment.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for data validation and ETL processes.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for data pipelines and transformations.
• Ensure test case library is version controlled and part of the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC).

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data issues.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) with the ability to communicate effectively with staff of varying technical expertise.
• High level of organization and prioritization.
• Strong analytical skills with high level of detail orientation.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with Azure SQL Server, Databricks and other data platforms.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and Python.
• Strong knowledge of data quality assurance best practices.
