Responsibilities
- We partner across the company—Finance, GTM, Engineering, and People—to implement tools, automate workflows, and ensure data flows securely and accurately
- Join our team as a Business Intelligence Analyst & Administrator, where you will collaborate with a small, high-performing team of Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers to design data pipelines, a data warehouse, an automated data catalog and internal tools
- You will be a thought-leader on how Lambda manages its BI layer, building analytics tools, training users who are hungry to learn about data tools, and setting up Lambda to scale up during a hyper-growth period
- This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact and is ideal for someone passionate about leveraging data to drive decision-making
- The role will report to the Data Platform Manager
- Example Analytics Projects (Past & Present)
- Researching utilization patterns across GPU and Cluster types
- Analyzing Lambda’s GPU allocation across product portfolio
- Analyzing marketing funnel performance and building customer profiles
- Partnering with Product Managers to define new metrics for product & feature launches
- Assisting the FP&A team with metrics for Lambda’s investor decks and leadership meetings
- Designing and tracking KPIs across all departments with operational leaders and celebrating milestones
- Partnering with Project Management Office to help build deployment gantt tracking
- Tableau / BI Tool Management: Oversee the administration and optimization of BI tools, ensuring they meet organizational needs and are aligned with strategic goals
- Access Management: Implement and manage user access controls, ensuring data security and compliance with governance policies
- User Training & Enablement: Develop and deliver training programs to empower users, fostering a self-service BI environment and enhancing data literacy across the organization
- Analytics Development: Design and maintain analytics tools, dashboards, and reports to support cross-functional teams in achieving their objectives
- Guide users in the appropriate tools for the appropriate data use case (Tableau, sheets, operational systems, SQL, etc)
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and improve BI tools' performance, scalability, and reliability
- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions
- Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI tools, processes, and best practices
- Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy and integrity, addressing discrepancies and improving data quality
Skills
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- Have 5+ years of professional experience in BI, with a focus on tool management, user enablement, and analytics development. Experience in Tableau preferred
- Have moderate SQL skills
- Have experience working with DBT and contributing to a Github repository
- Have fundamental understanding of ETL processes
- Have soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
- Work well in a small team environment and can prioritize projects in an agile way
- Can adapt to a fast-paced hypergrowth environment and work within existing patterns while proposing and building more scalable solutions
