Sr SQL Programmer / Analyst

Responsibilities

• The Analyst, Core Business Applications collaborates with functional and technical stakeholders to develop and maintain new and existing application systems using Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
• The Analyst, Core Business Applications builds forward-looking solutions that are scalable and maintainable to meet the business objectives, delivering creative solutions to better serve members, employees, and employers
• Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, and implements new applications systems
• Interviews key stakeholders to elicit requirements to identify functional and non-functional needs, develops prototypes, creates specifications documents, and presents to IT and functional staff as appropriate
• Analyzes requested changes by conducting impact analysis of the interdependencies of existing functionality to avoid negative impacts to existing applications systems
• Develops and configures solutions according to secure coding standards and best practices
• Performs functional, regression, security, and operational testing for all changes
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and fixes errors in existing application systems affecting usability or process outcomes
• Provide root cause analysis of application related issues
• Obtains end user satisfaction with all system changes
• Evaluates software tools and techniques to determine potential use in existing and new applications
• Conducts peer review process to ensure coding standards are followed and to improve quality
