Senior Database Developer/DBA

Responsibilities

The Senior Database Developer / Administrator position works daily with the development teams on database logical/physical design and will be coding DB procs/functions/packages for new applications
In-depth database design and coding of stored procedures used by custom applications
Document changes and follow change control processes
Provide on-call support for the production environment
Work with application development staff to enforce standards, quality assurance policies and procedures as it pertains to accessing corporate databases
In depth analysis of 1FB credit card portfolio for executive reporting
Assist with investigating issues related to both new and legacy 1FB applications
50% coding and development

It requires someone who is a senior level DBA, PL/SQL or Postgres programmer, with emphasis on Oracle DB. Good leadership, business analytics, oral and written communication skills, planning and coordinating abilities are critical success factors
Strong knowledge of database programming and security features are essential
A can-do attitude would be welcomed by DBA teams
Supporting databases applications 50% DBA
Actively participate in Azure cloud development and migration projects using Postgres DB
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related technical field
7+ years’ coding experience with Oracle with extensive PL/SQL or Postgres databases
