Business Intelligence Analyst

Responsibilities

This analyst will have exceptional communication skills, as they will be interacting with both technical and business oriented staff
Provide decision-support to analysts, managers and executives by creating institutional reports
Assist data engineering team in verifying correctness and completeness of the data model, data relationships, mappings and definitions for the functional business area
Identify data quality issues and their root causes
Propose fixes and design data audits to ensure against problem recurrence

The ideal candidate for this position must have deep knowledge in Enterprise Data Warehousing, strong SQL querying and ETL skills
This person will work closely with the engineering teams as well as the business community
2-3 years working as an analyst in an enterprise, data-driven environment
Excellent SQL skills; comfortable using a data access tool such as Toad
Excel wizardry is a requirement
MySQL knowledge is a requirement
Experience within an ELT (or ETL) based data migration paradigm is a requirement
Tableau hands-on experience a big plus
Familiar with dimensional data modeling a big plus
Passionate about producing high-quality deliverables
Detail-oriented and results driven
Familiar with the identification and resolution of data quality issues
Extremely eager to take responsibility and to deliver results
Have the appetite for ambiguity and likes to drive to resolution
